Eduard Peyer – Chaps Restaurant, Hyatt Regency Hotel

Chef Eduard Peyer came to the United States in 1968, where he began his career as an Executive Chef in the hospitality industry; San Francisco Hilton, The Francis Drake, Northstar, Marquette Inn in Minneapolis and the Warwick in Houston.  He joined Hyatt Hotels in 1981 for the opening of the Hyatt Regency San Antonio on the Riverwalk.  Eduard, created the “Pastaria and Asian Noodle Bar” to appease the many tastes of Hyatt’s worldwide guests. They say everything is big in Texas and the same holds true for the selection at Chaps Restaurant, down to the all you can eat salad & dessert selection.  Several of his recipes have appeared in the Express News, Food & Leisure columns.   He also donates his time and culinary talents to many charitable organizations.
